Just as Tim Cook promised at the beginning of today’s iPad media event, iOS 5.1 is now available to download for the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch. The latest version of Apple’s mobile OS includes Japanese support for Siri, the ability to delete images from Photo Stream, and bug fixes for users experiencing poor battery life.
After unveiling an all new iPad with a Retina display at today’s media event in San Francisco, Apple also announced the immediate availability of iPhoto for the iPad, and “major” updates to the company’s other iLife apps – iMovie and GarageBand.

Just as expected, Apple has unveiled a new Apple TV today. It’s not the high-definition television we’ve been anticipating, but rather a refresh to its set-top box. The new model boasts 1080p video playback, a new user interface, and more.
Following the announcement that over 25 billion apps have been downloaded from the App Store, and that Chunli Fu of Qingdao, China picked up a $10,000 gift card for downloading the 25 billionth, Apple has published lists of the top all-time paid and free iOS apps.
Just over a month on from the release of Mac OS X 10.7.3, Apple has made a supplemental update available to download via Software Update.
