Apple looking to hire engineers to work on fingerprint technology for future iPhone?

A job listing posted by Apple over the weekend has stoked speculation that the company could introduce fingerprint technology in a future version of the iPhone. The listing calls for somebody capable of testing various sensors with LabTool and FA software, but it’s the location, at Apple’s “Melbourne Design Center” in Florida USA, which is perhaps more significant.

Apple running behind schedule with iOS 7, said to include significant UI changes

According to Daring Fireball’s John Gruber, Apple is running behind schedule with iOS 7, and the company has pulled engineers away from OS X 10.9 to work on it. Gruber made the comments in a Branch conversation with iMore’s Rene Ritchie, and a number of other high-profile Apple pundits.

Once you’ve used an Apple device with a Retina display, it’s hard to go back. As much as I love my iPad mini, its display is nowhere near as pleasing to look at as my iPhone’s. Apple clearly recognizes this, and it’s been working to bring Retina displays to as many of its devices as it can. A new rumor claims that the Cupertino company will launch its first Retina MacBook Air later this year.

NYT report claims Apple is ‘experimenting’ with a curved glass smartwatch

According to a report by Nick Bilton for The New York Times, an Apple smartwatch may soon become a reality. In the report, which cites “people familiar with the company’s explorations”, Bilton says Apple is experimenting with wristwatch-like devices featuring curved glass designs that would run iOS.

French reseller claims new Mac Pro coming in Spring

Apple job listing suggests Siri may be coming to Mac

Back in November, a report claimed that Apple was planning to bring Siri to the Mac with the next version of OS X (10.9). Now a recent job listing posted by the Cupertino company for a Siri UI Engineer, appears to add further weight to those claims.

Apple TV to get a new HBO Go app by mid-2013

Apple is said to be in talks with Time Warner over an HBO Go app for the Apple TV. Two people familiar with the company’s place have told Bloomberg that it’ll be available by mid-2013, allowing HBO subscribers to stream movies and TV shows directly to their Apple set-top box.

Apple preparing to launch 128GB 4th-gen iPad?
