New iMacs are finally here! As expected they feature Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge processors and the new high-speed Thunderbolt port, which allows you to daisy-chain as many as six devices. There are two 21.5-inch models and two 27-inch models. They are all Quad-Core, include new AMD Radeon HD graphics processors, and have FaceTime HD Cameras.

In recent weeks speculation has grown over Apple’s seemingly inevitable move towards offering a cloud based service for music and other content. Just a few days ago it was confirmed that Apple had bought the iCloud.com domain from a Swedish company for a rumoured $4.5 million dollars – part of a portfolio of other cloud based names.

While I’m not sure I will have it enabled all the time, I love the idea of HazeOver. Created by Maxim Ananov, it’s a Mac App designed to help you focus on the task at hand, by dimming out any inactive windows.

Although the iPad 2 was originally launched in the USA on the 11th March, and in the UK and other countries on the 25th March, up until a couple of days ago the online Apple store was still showing dispatch times of 2-3 weeks. The good news for anyone (like me) who didn’t take the plunge on launch day is that Apple finally seems to be catching up with demand.

My next major purchase will probably be a new iMac to replace my current ageing 2007 model, so I’ve been waiting patiently for any news regarding updates. Based on a report by 9 to 5 Mac hopefully I won’t have to wait much longer.
