Last Wednesday, October 19, the family that Steve Jobs had built at Apple since it was established in 1976 celebrated his life at a special event held at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.

Walter Isaacson’s forthcoming Steve Jobs biography features a revelation which seems likely to fuel more rumours that Apple plans to release a television set. The Washington Post published an excerpt from the book, in which the former Apple CEO told Isaacson that he wanted to create an integrated TV set with a simple, easy to use interface.

First weekend sales of iPhone 4S top four million
According to an Apple press release issued earlier today, sales of the iPhone 4S topped four million over the first weekend of its release. The company also revealed that over 25 million customers were already using iOS 5 on their devices, and more than 20 million customers have signed up to iCloud.
Tribute to Steve Jobs created with 4001 post-it notes
This fantastic portrait of Steve Jobs is the work of Christian Mauerer, who, along with a team of helpers, decided to create a tribute to the former Apple CEO on the outside of the Munich Apple Store. Apparently the portrait, which was created using 4001 post-it notes, took six hours to complete.
Developer enables Siri on iPhone 4
Working in conjunction with 9to5Mac, Dublin based developer Steve Troughton-Smith has managed to port Siri – the voice-controlled personal assistant introduced with the iPhone 4S – to the iPhone 4. The news is bound to get owners of the previous-generation smartphone excited, but will Apple ever officially allow it?
