According to a New York Post report, Apple is looking to launch a streaming TV service which could involve channels being offered as apps for the Apple TV and other devices. Eddy Cue, the company’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services is said to be pitching the idea to various content providers, but negotiations aren’t progressing as quickly as hoped.

For an impressive fifth year in a row, Apple has taken the number one position in Fortune Magazine’s list of the world’s most admired companies. The Cupertino company is joined in the top five by two of its biggest competitors – Google and Amazon, who took the second and third places respectively. Coca-Cola and IBM were placed fourth and fifth.

UK-based developers True Knowledge have been warned that their Evi app faces removal from the App Store for being too similar to Siri. Speaking to TechCrunch, their CEO William Tunstall-Pedoe explained that an Apple representative had phoned and told the company they felt the app violated one of the App Store guidelines.

On the first day of the 2012 Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona, Adobe has announced the availability of Photoshop Touch – a new photo editing app for the iPad 2. Priced at £6.99 ($9.99), Photoshop Touch brings core features from the company’s industry-standard desktop software, including: selection tools, adjustments and filters, to Apple’s second-generation tablet.

Apple uploaded a new TV advert to their YouTube channel over the weekend. Titled ‘iCloud Harmony’, it demonstrates how iCloud on the iPhone 4S allows your apps, books, calendar, contacts, music and photographs to be automatically available on your iPad and Mac.

Citing “recent patent litigation by Motorola Mobility” Apple has been forced to disable push email services for iCloud and MobileMe users in Germany. The Cupertino company has created German and US support documents informing affected customers of the situation, along with a resolution.
