Apple has launched two updated iPhone commercials which will quite possibly be the last to feature the company’s iPhone 4 ahead of its rumoured refresh this September. The adverts showcase the device’s awesome ability to act as an iPod, and its App Store, which is undoubtedly unmatched by any of its rivals.

Along with opening up iCloud Beta to developers late last night, Apple have also revealed what they will charge users who want to increase their iCloud storage space from the default free 5GB provided, up to a maximum of 55GB.

Apple have opened up a Beta version of its much anticipated iCloud service to registered developers on iCloud.com. If you go to that url now, you will see the login page captured above. Once logged in, developers have access to web apps for Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Find My iPhone & iWork.

Yesterday I wrote a post about the likely discontinuation of the iPhone 3GS in autumn, and speculated that Apple could choose to kill it off on the same day that they announce their next generation iPhone. Today, a report from a well respected tech blog, claims that Apple will launch a new iPhone in autumn, more specifically – October.

Over two years on from its unveiling on the 8th of June 2009, reported stock shortages of the iPhone 3GS at a number of carriers, including European & international, suggest that Appleās cheapest iPhone could soon be discontinued.

Back in December 2010, Apple increased the preview length of songs in the US iTunes Store from 30 to 90 seconds. Seven months on, Apple appears to have rolled out longer song clips to a number of other countries – including here in the UK.

Earlier today, the BBC released a new global iPlayer App, which will allow residents of The Republic Of Ireland, France, Germany, Italy and other European countries to watch TV shows such as Doctor Who, Top Gear, Little Britain & The Office on their iPads.
