Express delivery services added to UK Apple Online Store

Express delivery

One of the things I love about ordering from the Apple Online Store is that in most cases I can expect my order to arrive within a couple of days. Even just before Christmas last year, when most of the UK was covered in snow and many other companies were struggling to deliver items at all, I received an order within 24 hours. So when I saw Apple advertising a new express delivery service I was curious to know what it involved.

Whether you own an iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Cinema Display or any Mac with a built-in screen, you will want to show off that bright, crisp, glossy display to it’s fullest with a decent wallpaper. While there are many sites claiming to offer the best wallpapers, there’s only one site that I keep returning to – InterfaceLIFT.

iPad 2 advert

Apple posted an iPad 2 TV advert to its YouTube Channel yesterday. Titled ‘We Believe’ it opens with the statement “technology alone is not enough” and despite being only 30 seconds long manages to show an iPad 2 being used for a wide range of tasks including viewing a home video, monitoring heart rates, typing an email, looking at financial data and playing a guitar.

2 April, 2011 - Paul Dixon
Mactracker

That’s the question I just asked over on twitter, prompted by the fact that my 2006 iMac is starting to feel a little sluggish. It already has 3GB RAM installed, which according to Apple is the maximum supported. But sometimes you can install and use more than what is officially supported.
