Code strings discovered in iOS 5.1 beta, which was released to developers yesterday, make reference to next-generation versions of Apple’s smartphone and tablet. As you can see in the image above (courtesy of @FilippoBiga), the strings include product identifiers for an ‘iPhone5,1’ and an ‘iPad3,3’.

According to a Wall Street Journal report, Apple is adding Japanese consumer electronics company Sharp as a screen supplier for its next-generation tablet. Rumoured to be launching in March 2012, the iPad 3 could feature the same Retina display technology introduced with the iPhone 4.

Hot on the heels of the latest iPad 2 TV advert, Apple have uploaded another ad to their YouTube account – this time for the iPod touch. Titled ‘Share The Fun’, the ad shows teens using iMessage, Game Center and FaceTime on the Cupertino company’s best selling portable music player.

When Infinity Blade from Chair Entertainment first launched on the iPad, it was famous for pushing the boundaries of the device to achieve the most realistic visuals and the best gameplay possible on Apple’s tablet. The company is looking to do that again with Infinity Blade II, but the difference this time around is that it has a dual-core A5 processor to work with.

I don’t know what it is about the iPhone, but I’ve discovered it’s the only thing in our home guaranteed to keep our kids happy. Even our eight-month old daughter loves watching TV shows on it, and playing with apps that are filled with bright colors and funny noises.

Apple have uploaded a new iPad 2 TV advert to their YouTube channel. Titled ‘Love’ it features a range of different people using the iPad to engage in their passions: coaching a basketball team, playing in a band, creating a digital painting, designing a car, editing a video, and learning about dinosaurs.
