With WWDC 2011 announced a few days ago I thought it would be interesting to have a look back at the invites sent out for the previous 4 conferences, and to compare the teasers on the invitations with what was featured at the events.

According to the email that landed in my inbox late yesterday, WWDC 2011 – Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference will be held between the 6th and 10th of June at Moscone West, San Francisco. The invite features a large Apple logo filled with app icons and the teaser “Join us for a preview of the future of iOS and Mac OS X.“

When I first had the idea to create this post I thought it would be fairly straightforward. I was wrong. After about three hours of browsing hundreds of Apple inspired creations I had a not-so shortlist of about 50 wallpapers.

After putting the details up earlier today, Apple have just (12:30am) made the iPad 2 available to order online in the UK. That’s slightly earlier than the stated time of 1.00am, but even if you get your order in right now don’t expect to receive it in the next few days.

Having bought two refurbished Macs myself – a MacBook Pro, and more recently an 11″ MacBook Air I would absolutely recommend anyone in the market for a new Mac to consider it. In both cases the Macs were in perfect condition, no scratches or dents, and my main concern – no dead or stuck pixels. I’ve also read many forum posts from other people who have had the same positive experience.

I don’t know about you, but whenever I see an app featuring cartoon birds I start thinking about Angry Birds, and that’s what I thought when I first saw Tiny Wings in the App Store.

If you live in the US you might have already made the switch, the rest of us will have a bit longer to wait. Here in the UK we can’t officially buy the iPad 2 until the 25 March, or later if it gets delayed like the first iPad. So if you already have an iPad 1 is it worth upgrading to the iPad 2?
