Apple has released two new TV adverts for the iPhone 4S featuring the actor John Malkovich. As with previous ads in the series, both focus on the smartphone’s voice-controlled assistant, Siri. In the first commercial, which is titled “Life”, Siri answers a philosophical question. And in the second, titled “Joke”, Siri shows her funny side while helping Malkovich plan a night out.

iPhone 4S TV Ad – Life

Transcript:

Malkovich: Life.

Siri: Try and be nice to people. Avoid eating fat. Read a good book every now and then. Get some walking in. And try to live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.

Malkovich: That’s pretty spectacular advice actually. Thank you. I enjoyed this chat immensely. You are very eloquent.

Siri: That’s nice of you to say.

iPhone 4S TV Ad – Joke

Transcript:

Malkovich: Weather.

Siri: Nice weather coming up today through this Tuesday.

Malkovich: Evening.

Siri: You don’t have anything on your calendar for this evening.

Malkovich: Fantastic.

Malkovich: Linguica.

Siri: I found five restaurants whose reviews mention linguica fairly close to you.

Malkovich: Joke.

Siri: Two iPhones walk into a bar, I forget the rest.

Malkovich: That’s funny.

Siri: Was it something I said?

Malkovich: Yes it was.

John Malkovich is the third celebrity to feature in an iPhone 4S TV advert. Last month Apple released commercials starring Samuel L. Jackson and Zooey Deschanel.
