In case you missed it, Apple yesterday released an update for iTunes 11 which addresses a number of bugs, offers improved performance, and brings back a much-missed feature that was present in earlier versions of the software – the ability to find duplicate items in your library.

iTunes 11.0.1 release notes:

This update to the new iTunes addresses an issue where new purchases in iCloud may not appear in your library if iTunes Match is turned on, makes iTunes more responsive when searching a large library, fixes a problem where the AirPlay button may not appear as expected, and adds the ability to display duplicate items within your library.

Released just over two weeks ago, iTunes 11 introduced a dramatically simplified design, enhanced iCloud integration, an improved search, revamped MiniPlayer, and more.

The 11.0.1 update can either be downloaded from within the media player itself, the Mac App Store, or Apple’s support website.
