Q1 2013 earnings call

Apple has announced that it will be holding an earnings call to discuss the financial results of its first fiscal quarter on Wednesday, the 23rd of January, at 2.00pm Pacific Time (10.00pm in the UK). As per usual, the company will be providing a live audio stream of the call on its website.

The first quarter is typically Apple’s strongest, as it includes sales during the lucrative holiday period. The iPhone and iPad are once again likely to be the top performing product lines, with the latter buoyed by the release of the iPad mini.

At the company’s last earnings call in October, Apple’s Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer said that he expected revenue of around $52 billion and diluted earnings per share of $11.75, during Q1.

If that prediction is correct, the quarter will be the best ever in the company’s history.

We will, of course, provide an overview of the earnings on here.
