Apple announces updates to the current generation MacBook Pro, Ivy Bridge processors and USB 3.0

Following the announcement of updates to the MacBook Air lineup at today’s Worldwide Developers Conference keynote, Apple’s Phil Schiller announced updates to the company’s MacBook Pro models. The new laptops feature Intel’s latest Ivy Bridge processors, USB 3.0, and Nvidia GeForce GT 650m GPUs.

Available Configurations:

13-inch – 2.5GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, 4GB memory, 500GB 5400-rpm hard drive, Intel HD Graphics 4000.

13-inch – 2.9GHz dual-core Intel Core i7, 8GB memory, 750GB 5400-rpm hard drive, Intel HD Graphics 4000.

15-inch 2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 4GB memory, 500GB 5400-rpm hard drive, Intel HD Graphics 4000, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 512MB of GDDR5 memory.

15-inch – 2.6GHz quad-core Intel Core i7, 8GB memory, 750GB 5400-rpm hard drive, Intel HD Graphics 4000, NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory.

Prices for the new MacBook Pros start at £999 ($1199) for the 13-inch model, and £1499 ($1799) for the 15-inch model. The new machines are available to order today.
